By the third day the birds were eating the dead pecking through their clothes through the white tee shirts with store logos on them through Nike sneakers pecking through Rayban sunglasses fluttering up off the sprawled bodies whenever another tree fell fish everywhere fish on the front lawns fish on their sides tails twitching on the quiet sidewalks fish filling the red brick chimneys chimneys bursting outwards from the weight in the sky a wop-wop-wop going by above the white clouds.
